On 5th August 2020, a day prior Roza Yedileva's first day in office as Qörahbar of Quruli, a referendum on the flag of Qurulistan was held.
In the end, Quruli citizens voted to replace the national flag. 60% voted for the new one, and 40% voted for the current one.
As the referendum occurred on Napasychi Dominik's last day as Qörahbar, the vote is often regarded as Dominik's 'last duty' carried out in office. It holds immense cultural significance, and is especially known for symbolising a retained culture, and a progressive outlook, as reflected on the new flag.
